DIRECTIONS

*Red Rock Canyon is roughly 20 minutes from downtown and "the strip" and within 10- 45 minutes of most residential areas of the valley.

Directions to the MAIN FREE bus pick up/ drop off area: Red Rock Resort and Spa: 11011 W. Charleston Blvd/ Las Vegas, NV 89135. (from 2009 event! Likely the same for 2010 but TBD)

Take I-215 to Charleston Blvd and exit heading East on Charleston Blvd. Red Rock Resort and Spa is located just off the I-215 on Charleston Blvd on the south side. PLEASE use the EAST SURFACE parking closest to Charleston Blvd. There will be an attendent there helping to load the SHOWTIME TOURS buses.

Directions to THE STRIP pick up/ drop off area:

ONLY those runners and spectators who have purchased the STRIP bus ticket will use this location! This pick up location is at Bally's Hotel and Casino located at 3645 Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Use the FLAMINGO side of the property to board the bus. Look for a SHOWTIME TOURS bus. This location is within walking distance to many Strip hotels or a few dollars taxi ride. If you are standing on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo, with Bally's Hotel on your right side, turn RIGHT and walk about 200' along Flamingo. There is an incline in the sidewalk to the bus loading area.

Directions to Thursday packet pick up: REI Henderson at The District at Green Valley Ranch: 2220 Village Walk Drive/ Henderson, NV 89052(probable, TBD)

Take I-215 to Green Valley Parkway and exit heading south. Once on Green Valley Parkway, take your first RIGHT. You'll see a PF Chang's on the corner. REI is behind PF Chang's.

DROP OFF:

If you are having someone drop you off for the race, or are taking a taxi- you may have them DROP you off at the race start. This will also help alleviate the workload for the buses. For the Half Marathon, this is at the Visitors' Center for Red Rock Canyon (see directions below). The gates will be closed until 6am, but you can be dropped at the gate and walk thru up to the Visitors' Center (about 0.5 mile). If you are running the Marathon you can be dropped off at your start line, which is at the exit of the scenic loop. Follow the directions below, but continue past the entrance about 2 miles along Highway 159. You will see a dirt lot at the exit of the loop- this is your starting area.

From the Las Vegas Valley:

I-215 beltway to Charleston Blvd. Exit WEST and continue on Charleston/ 159 heading west 4-5 miles to the entrance of Red Rock Canyon.

From Southern California:

I-15 North to I-215 beltway WEST. Exit onto Charleston Blvd, heading WEST. Continue on Charleston/ 159 heading west 4-5 miles to the entrance of Red Rock Canyon.

From Arizona:

Over Hoover Dam continue on 93 North toward Henderson and Las Vegas. Exit onto Lake Mead Parkway (NOT into Lake Mead N.R.A) heading WEST which later becomes I-215 beltway. Continue WEST and exit onto Charleston Blvd, heading west. Continue on Charleston/ 159 heading west 4-5 miles to the entrance of Red Rock Canyon.
